This properties benefits from stunning views across their land. The design for the gardens includes a sinuous steel wall that weaves across the garden, emulating the stream and rolling hills beyond.
Floating above the gardens
The new swimming pool development extends out from the main house. The vision of the architects was for this to appear to be floating above the ground. We have sought to accentuate this by underplanting with delicate perennials and grasses, which will gently move in the breeze.
The main courtyard includes a large dining terrace, surrounded by sumptuous planting and with stunning views across the gardens and fields beyond.

A ribbon across the hillside
The architects of this home have used a striking combination of natural local stone and steel in their designs. We took inspiration from this palette and have designed a retaining ribbon-like wall, formed from a treated steel that is imbued with beautifully subtle tones of blues and greys. This weaves its way across the main garden, mirroring the flow of the stream in the bottom of the valley and the hillside beyond.
Areas of the lower garden have been simply left longer to emulate the patterns created by the fields in the valley.
Two feature sculptures take pride of place in the design. Closer to the home a smaller balancing stone is placed at the entrance to the home. Looking from the main entrance, this smaller sculpture lines up with a much large piece, placed some distance away on the opposite hillside.
