The garden design for this beautifully designed new home in the Yorkshire hills takes in the striking views of the monument on the hillside nearby. The garden is designed to be a welcome space to spend time with family and friends.
An inviting space to entertain
The focal point of the rear garden is the large extension to the side. This space, designed to be in-keeping with local barns, will be the centre of activity for the family. We have designed the garden around this space, adding new seating areas, outdoor kitchen and a fire pit to keep warm on those late summer evenings.

A place to relax and unwind
The expansive timber extension leads the eye towards a bespoke timber pergola over a hot tub. The location of the hot tub allows those relaxing in the warm waters to enjoy the sight of the sun setting behind the monument on the hill.
The lawn is large enough to allow the family to play, with space for parents to sit and relax too. The bespoke water feature sits along the central axis of the garden and is constructed from a locally quarried sandstone. The shape of the water feature subtly references the iconic monument on the hillside beyond. Water tumbles down the side of the rock, creating gentle and soothing sounds.
